Kyrgyzstan receives about $ 1 billion in emergency money

Many individuals have died with the open violence in Kyrgyzstan which has created about 400,000 refugees and destroyed the budget the nation has kept. The nation’s move toward parliamentary democracy – which has emboldened supporters of overthrown former President Kurmanbek Bakiyev and militants from Uzbekistan – has been at the center of clashes between armed troops and civilian protesters. Kyrgyzstan has been trying to recuperate now that the fighting is stopping. There is no more money available as reported by Reuters.

International donors will give Kyrgyzstan $ 1.1 billion instant money to Kyrgyzstan from donors

Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan’s capital city, was where a conference was help in which $ 600 million in fast cash was donated in 2010, and the rest could be coming in 2011. President Roza Otunbayeva wanted those from the World Bank and United Nations to donate and said they’d rebuild. This can be a perfect time considering the nation shrunk 5 percent with the violence. Kyrgyzstan was in need of extra cash, and the donors have pledged to deliver.

Rebuild costs more than $ 1 billion

Reuters reports that 13.5 percent of domestic product has been lost in Kyrgyzstan’s budget. Their deficit went from $ 269 million to $ 619 million when Bakiyev was overthrown, according to Kyrgyzstan’s Finance Minister Chorobek Imashev. $ 350 million, reports President Otunbayeva, is needed to build settlements in Osh and Jalalabad, when one more $ 100 million can be needed for the rest of the economy. $ 50 million is needed to help agriculture when $ 180 million is needed to fix energy problems. To stabilize a nation in chaos, about $ 1.1 billion in emergency funds are likely to be required.
